Johnny's- Toronto, Canada
Classic joint on the outside, poor excuse of a burger on the inside. They do make a decent poutine to go though! Wouldn't go back. The bun was bigger than my rental carππ

Oliver a bistro - Bordentown, NJ
http://www.oliverabistro.com/
This burger was just "OK". Not worth all the hype they give it. The meat is excellent and was cooked well. The bun, however, was a day of hard roll that ruined it. Bad choice of bun can ruin a great burger!
LOSPIEDO - Navy Shipping Yards / Philadelphia, PA
http://lo-spiedo.com/
This is a Marc Vetri restaurant and worth the trip. The burger we had was on the happy hour menu and about 2oz. smaller than the regular menu. Still worth ordering. Everything we had (half the menu) was excellent. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Worth a stop if you're in Philly!

McAllister Inn - McAllister, MT

Formerly known as the Bear Claw, this reinvention is far better than expected. I order a burger medium, came well-done and no cheese. Sent it back and the end result was worth waiting for. Not gonna change your life but it's solid! Worth a trip and let's get real, who doesn't want to go to Montana!
LUKE - San Antonio, TX

This burger moves into the #3 spot for good reason....it's awesome. Pictured here with jalapeno grits, the shrimp & grits my diner partners ate, sweet corn hush puppies...need I say more. It's a John Besh restaurant on the River Walk and worth the trip. Everything we tried we loved!

Husk - Charleston, SC
If you google Best Burgers in Charleston, every entry tells you this is the best burger in town. Simply said: WRONG. I was disappointed. While cooked perfectly, this burger meat was ground with bacon in it versus on it. Sounds great and it unfortunately fell short of expectations. The only thing that saved it was the pimento cheese sauce on top. The atmosphere of this place is worth the trip of a truly southern experience.
High Cotton - Charleston, SC
This burger is available at the bar and is worth the trip. Besides the fact that they have live jazz every night to listen to while you eat. It's a solid burger and this is one of my favorite restaurants.
ZinBurger- Phoenix, AZ
I have been to the ZinBurger in NJ and this was a step up. Not a burger I'd go back for, but their loaded fries at half price at happy hour make the trip much better!!

Bartley's Burger Cottage - Boston, MA
This is not my first trip to Bartley's. The first time is was delicious and since my last few visits, I have to say it's just ok and an experience. Go if you've never been and then track down a better burger!
Hops Burger BAr - Greensboro, NC
I had the good fortune of eating here during the women's NCAA's. My mistake was eating there on the first night in town. I then proceeded to eat every meal there. It was toooo good. I highly recommend this to anyone in the Greensboro area. And their fried green tomatoes with Pimento Cheese rock!
P'unk Burger - South Philly
This burger gets good write ups but I'm not impressed. Wasn't cooked properly, pickle chips were dripping grease as were the fries. It's a small place and cash only. I wouldn't go back~

Krug's Tavern - Newark, NJ
http://www.krugstavern.com/
This burger was featured in the best burgers in NJ. It was indeed a good burger, and I can't say that it was the best. It was, however, a great road trip to inner Newark to a great "working man's pub" that I certainly never would have found without the burger. It's a good burger, but it was a bit over cooked for my liking and I have to say the service lived up to all things stereotypically wrong with NJ!!!
Good Stuff Eatery - Georgetown, DC
Gotta say this was a HUGE disappointment. Chef Spike's burger was quality meat that was overcooked and greasy. I could get past that because it truly was quality meat. HOWEVER, the onion petals were drenched in grease, literally dripping. This caused me to post my first ever YELP post to tell people not to go. I will give props to the manager of Good Stuff who saw my post and reached out offering to send me a free meal to come back. I have to many burgers though that need my attention in DC so I'll pass on the offer, thanks!
Pub & Kitchen - Philadelphia, PA

GREAT burger. Not a top 10 but it's solid. A take on a Big Mac, it's clearly a 40-napkin burger. Worth stopping in for!
